Illegal immigration should be a felony, and illegal immigrants should be imprisoned

Dear Congressman, I believe that illegal immigration is an important issue, but i think it shouldn't be a felony because making it into one will do more damage than fixing the issue. A lot of immigrants come to America looking for jobs and opportunities, so making them felons will damage their records, which will cause alot of businesses to lose employees. Illegal immigrants are dedicated to working, so i don't think its as bad as the government makes it seem. Belittling the immigrants is already an issue, so imprisoning them would cause controversy in america, and in the immigrants' countries.
